1. Baseball:
I was begotten and raised by two rabid Yankees fans. Is it any wonder that I love the game?
2. Cooking:
I love to cook; not surprisingly, most chemists do. But I hate to do it just for myself, which I find very boring. Since I live alone, I don't really cook as often as I would like.
3. Early music:
Doing Gregorian chant when I was in my elementary school choir got me interested. I probably have more CDs of medieval music than most people and I play them frequently.
4. Farscape:
Best SF show of the past decade, hands down.
5. Georgia O'Keeffe:
My favorite artist. I got to go to the O'Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe this summer. :)
6. History of science:
Fascinating, just fascinating.
7. Interior design:
Got this one from my mother. If I had any artistic skill at all (in terms of being able to draw for clients), I might have thought more seriously about making this my career.
8. Mineralogy:
Minerals! Pretty rocks!
9. Photography:
Look at the pretty pictures! Most often of rocks. :)
10. Science:
My passion. I want to know it all.
ETA: The quiz gave me eleven interests to comment on, but only provided ten to LJ, so I'm adding the last one myself. So there!
11. Theology:
My 4th grade teacher (a truly ancient Dominican nun) once told us (right before our first lesson on evolution) that science can tell us how the universe works, but that religion tells us why. I've never forgotten that. If I had been raised in an actual 20th century church, I might have become a priest. I still might.
