1. What did you do in 2015 that you'd never done before?
I attended the funeral of someone I knew who had died by their own hand.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make formal resolutions, but yes, I did accomplish some of my goals. Others, not so much.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes.
5. What countries did you visit?
Not even South Jersey this year.
6. What would you like to have in 2016 that you lacked in 2015?
A contract at work, and the adequate compensation that damn well better result from it.
7. What date from 2015 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Two, I'm afraid: September 23 and November 22.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Surviving.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Coping.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just the usual minor things. Had one scare that was resolved to the good; the jury is still out on another possibly problematic issue.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My car. Or was it the new HVAC system?
12. Where did most of your money go?
My car. Plus the new HVAC system. ;)
13. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The Rangers' run for the Stanley Cup. Oops.
14. What song will always remind you of 2015?
Probably "Hello". It certainly made the most impact.
15. Compared to this time last year, are you richer or poorer?
I'm pretty sure that if I do the math, I'll come out a bit poorer.
16. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Chill out.

Other peoples' work.
18. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent it with my dad.
19. Did you fall in love in 2015?
No.
20. What was your favorite TV program?
It's still a toss-up among TBBT, Downton Abbey, and Elementary.
21. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.
22. What was the best book you read?
My annual re-read of Pride and Prejudice pulled me out of the annual late-February funk.

I don't think there was one.

A toaster oven. ;)

I think The Man from UNCLE was the most fun but, unlike everyone else on the planet, I really liked Interstellar.

Dinner out with my dad; 61.

Getting that summer teaching job in Iceland.
29. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2015?
Pretty much the same as always, that indefinable mix of prep and slob. I did add a touch more of corporate (by which I mean heels and makeup) to the work wardrobe this year.

White zinfandel. LOTS of white zinfandel.

Warren Buffet. (Yes, I'm joking.)

Donald Trump. Don't get me started.

In my case, it's something I learned again. No matter how prepared you think you are for some events, they almost always take you by surprise anyway.
