I hope all who celebrate it had a wonderful holiday yesterday. ;)
Yesterday was also the big 100th-birthday bash for Fenway Park up in Boston. And for the most part, everything went exactly according to plan. The weather was glorious, the park was packed to the rafters with fans (including, according to ESPN, Caroline Kennedy), the Red Sox management hauled out generations of former star players who got wild ovations, the Red Sox and their opponents for the day - a team that used to be known as the Highlanders - wore replicas of their 1912 uniforms. Perfect in every way.
Well, almost. The final score in the game? Yankees: 6, Red Sox: 2.
Heh.
ETA at 23:45: And in today's game the Yankees were behind 9-0 at the start of the 7th inning. They won the game 15-9. It's shaping up to be a long weekend for the Boston fans. :)
