So last night, the House passed HR 358, AKA the "Protect Life Act." This is the bill that would allow hospitals to let women die rather than perform a life-saving abortion. It's not expected to pass the Senate or to be signed by the President even if enough Senators did lose their collective minds.

This is not my issue any more, thank TPTB. However, I am really, really, really tired of this shit. I am tired of men who think that they have any right whatsoever to dictate what a woman does with her body and/or with any parasitic clump of cells that may be inhabiting it. An adult woman is a full human being, with all the rights and privileges attached to that status. And when it comes to issues dealing with pregnancy, if you don't have a second X chromosome, You. Should. Just. Shut. The. Fuck. Up.

Disclaimer: Yes, it is indeed a whole different ball of wax when you are in a committed relationship with someone who has granted you the right to comment on her reproductive choices. I'm not talking about that scenario, so do NOT give me any crap.
