I was taking out some recycling a while ago, and discovered that the town fireworks were starting. I also discovered that I could see perfectly from our parking lot, so I just plopped myself down on the curb and enjoyed the show. It reminded me of a Fourth a couple of years ago, watching fireworks just outside of Yellowstone Park. Fun!
From today's NJ Daily Record:
In 1776, New Jersey gave women the right to vote. In 1807, New Jersey took it away. Too many women, it seemed, had been voting. At least that was the thinking in the Legislature, which was all male.
The NJ Legislature has not improved in 203 years.
