I went over to my parents' house last night to continue taking stuff back to my place and I got talked into staying for dinner. During dinner, my mother mentioned that she had filled in her absentee ballot yesterday. With a bit of trepidation (she had mentioned voting for McCain a couple of times in the last few weeks), I asked if she wanted to tell me who she voted for. "Of course," she said smiling, "I really couldn't bring myself to vote for either of those two, so I wrote in someone." I was a bit surprised by that and asked her who it was. It was her turn to look surprised. "You mean you don't know? I thought you knew me better than that." And then she smiled the biggest smile I've seen on her face in ages. "I voted for Hillary Clinton."
