I missed the news yesterday, so I just saw this a few minutes ago. What a mess! Must look into who is coordinating rescue operations and see if they're taking contributions.

However, part of my brain insists on reminding me that the senior Senator from OK is James Inhofe, who has been (and still is) completely committed to blocking any and all legislation that would help this country move away from fossil fuels. He's the one who famously declared that global warming "is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people". Perhaps NOW he'll change his mind? Or maybe the people will vote him out?

We must get a handle on this.

Jim Inhofe will merely insist that OK has always had tornadoes; this was just a particularly bad one. And if he's one of those fundamentalist wingnuts, I can assure you that disasters that happen to blue states are "punishments" from his deity, but in his state, it's just Nature.

Because these people let NOTHING change their viewpoints. They are fanatics and kooks.
