I have abandoned the "surviving aliens" portion of Karen's Wacko Lost Hypothesis (TM), but I still want to think the island is a crashed spaceship. The Magical Cave of Light could be a leaking warp core, right? No, I don't think so anymore either.
But Allison Janney! Wonderful as always. And I think there was more to her character than we've been told.

(Was there any objective indication that FauxMom murdered the villagers, other than Nemo deciding it had to have been her?)
Also, I think I've seen the Cave of Light for sale in aquarium stores, next to the bubbly divers.
