God's Warriors: Did anyone else watch this? It was fantastic. Amanpour was as fabulous as ever; there was absolutely no bias visible in any of the three programs. One fact certainly stood out - fundamentalists are completely interchangeable, regardless of whether they call themselves Jews, Muslims, or Christians. All of them think they are the highest examples of the human species, all of them think they have the only direct pipeline to God, all of them want to exercise a stranglehold on the lives of women, and all of them are perfectly comfortable with killing anyone who disagrees with them. Fascinating.
The Dark is Rising: I sympathize with the fans who are upset with the changes made for the movie; I've been there and I can feel your pain. However, I have never read the books and it is unlikely I ever will, so I really can't get all that worked up about it. And from my point of view, there are three excellent reasons to see the movie when it comes out:
1. Christopher Eccleston.
2. With long hair.
3. On a horse.
Me: Right now, my life couldn't suck more if it was a vacuum. Enough said.
