Whew!
Because I got home late last night and immediately tuned to ion tv, where I watched several episodes of Criminal Minds (good lord, that show is creepy!) before falling asleep, I completely missed all the coverage and pontificating by various media blowhards. It really took all my willpower to go to the Times this morning, but what a wonderful headline when I did!
Not only did Obama win, but Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) are going back to the Senate, and they're taking Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) with them!!
And in NJ, voters passed both questions! The first will provide money for capital improvements to the state's public universities and colleges, including some of the larger community colleges. Yay - perhaps now we'll be able to afford fixing the roof! The second requires judges to contribute to their health insurance and retirement, just like the rest of us.
But best of all: Donald Trump is very, very unhappy!
